“Magic Trick” Animation Study

Keyframe Animation | Character Performance | Maya

A short keyframe animation study built around the Joker’s “magic trick” moment from The Dark Knight. I animated the full performance from scratch in Maya, with a focus on grounded, realistic motion and expressive character timing. Facial animation was synced to dialogue, and every movement was tuned to feel physically credible. My background in anatomy helped inform the weight and pacing of the gestures. Lighting and camera work were kept simple to let the performance carry the scene.
