The Minotaur’s Labyrinth
Level Design | Pixel Art | C# Scripting | Unity
This was my first game, which I fully designed, built, and coded while teaching myself Unity and C#. Set in a mythological world inspired by ancient Greece, the game combines top-down action-adventure gameplay with an original level layout shaped like the head of a Minotaur. That design doubles as a live minimap, helping players navigate the maze-like structure.
Players step into the role of Theseus, solving puzzles and battling legendary creatures such as sirens, centaurs, Medusa, Cerberus, and a Harpy mini-boss. One standout puzzle features color-coded statues, where one color tells the truth and the other lies, but the player must figure that out through gameplay. Progression is structured through gated sections that require keys and clues, encouraging exploration and careful planning. The game builds toward a final confrontation with the Minotaur at the heart of the labyrinth.
This project highlights my early work in Unity and C#, with original contributions in level design, puzzle mechanics, and gameplay systems.
